Amos 8:5-7

New American Standard Bible

“When will the ^(A)new moon ^[a]be over,
So that we may sell grain;
And the ^(B)Sabbath, so that we may open the wheat market,
To make the ^[b]ephah smaller and the ^[c]shekel bigger,
And to ^(C)cheat with dishonest scales,
⁶ So as to ^(D)buy the helpless for ^[d]money,
And the needy for a pair of sandals,
And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”
